A group of eight chapter members, along with some spouses, visited Billings, Montana from August 2nd thru August 4th to attend the ASHRAE Region IX Chapter Regional Conference. Chapter President Sean Miller(MKEC), Vice-President Ryan Haug(MKEC), Treasurer Curtis Wondra(J.M. O’Connor), Secretary Brandon Bulla(BCS), Membership Chair Dane Pletcher(PEC), R/P Chair/2014 CRC Co-Chair Ken Stoppel(BCS), 2014 CRC Co-Chair James Herman(BCS) and DRC Richard Bowman (Mechanical Concepts) all attended the conference, associated various business meeting, technical sessions and of course the social events. The group returns to Wichita fired up for the new ASHRAE year with loads of information to pass on to our other members and to help make our Chapter better. On a side note we all learned that Nebraska is the most hospitable state we know (if you don’t count James’s RV), Sean volunteers too much and both Richard and Dane can ride a mechanical bull. Next year’s CRC is in Boise, Idaho and looks like a blast. All chapter members may attend even if you are not on the board. In 2014 the CRC will come to Wichita.
