Hello ASHRAE Wichita Chapter, My Name is Cliff Pray; I will be serving you in the role as Chapter President for the 2024 -2025 year. For those of you that I have not met yet, I work for P1 Service here in Wichita as a Project Manager as well as the surrounding market area. I have been in various roles of construction, facilities management, and customer service for the last 25 years and I look forward to working in this role to help our chapter continue to thrive. I attended the ASHRAE Training Camp in Utah in April Along with Dahl Carmichael, Thanks for presenting at this Dahl. Attendance was in preparation for this upcoming year, CRC in Idaho, and I look forward to passing on what we learned.
With that we closed out April with a past president’s celebration at Larkspur. I was humbled to meet many of the past presidents, thanks to all who have participated in the past for ASHRAE. I especially want to offer my gratitude and thanks to our most recent President Andy Dunbar for his past year of leadership and involvement for Wichita. Andy will still be active and serving within ASHRAE for the next year and helping me in my role along with others in our organization. As we move forward, we have been working on filling our board roles and positions and look forward to meeting your needs with upcoming events and programs. Certainly, I want to extend an invite for anyone that wants to participate to please reach out if there is any role that you are interested in serving with ASHRAE Wichita. Currently we are searching for people to help fill the President Elect and Student activities roles.
We also had a great Program last month with William Bahnfleth, professor of architectural engineering at Pennsylvania State University. We were also joined by Jonathan Smith Region IX director and Regional Chair, it’s great to get that interaction and networking with others within ASHRAE. Thank you, Richard Bowman, for working on putting this together.
I hope that all of you have had a fun start to your summer and hope to add to your summer plans with our upcoming Sporting clays event on June the 7th, and our Top Golf event being planned for July for our Young Engineers in ASHRAE or YEA.
